Mrs Dahbia Al Khatib
It is with great sadness that we mourn the loss of our valued colleague and dear friend Mrs Dahbia Al Khatib who passed away on Thursday 3rd May 2012, after a long illness.
Dahbia came into our lives in September 2002, at the opening of Doha Academy and became the French teacher to what is now an immeasurable number of students. We have Dahbia to thank for our love of the French language which she always taught with enthusiasm and dedication – even during her illness and treatment. She always displayed insurmountable loyalty to Doha Academy; its students, past and present, parents, staff and all who knew her.
Dahbia touched the lives of everyone she met, and the students she taught will never forget her caring and compassionate nature, her sense of humour and her love of the French language which she imparted to them.
Friends, colleagues, students and their parents grieve her loss most profoundly. We ask Allah (SwT) to ease our sadness and we will remember her in our prayers and du’aas. We will always think of her with great fondness and affection, as she holds a special place in our hearts.
At Doha Academy, her memory will be cherished through the legacy of her teaching and an annual award which we will give in her honour for the highest achievement in French.
We ask Allah (SwT) to have mercy on her soul, forgive her sins and grant her the highest place in paradise and give her family the patience to bear this tragic loss. Ameen.
