About Primary Salwa

Doha Academy Academy, Salwa Branch,is a primary school for boys and girls, which offers an international style educational experience. The school was established in September 2000 asan international school with an English curriculum combined with progressive Arabic,Islamic Studies, Life Skills and values programs to meet the needs of Qatar and expatriate families in Qatar. Today, it is a school following the British National curriculum and teaches rich Arabic, Sharia and values curricular and extra curricular activities, serving students from KG 1 to year 6. Doha Academy is under the umbrella of the Ministery of Education of Qatar and follows Ministery of Education standards in Arabic, Sharia and Arabic Humanities curricula.

Doha Academy is located in Al Ma‘amoura district of Doha, it moved here in September 2015, on a Villa built site that has been adapted. The campus is comprised of four buildings; Gynasium, 2 Primary buildings and Support building.

The Primary section of the campus are home to the main administrative offices and this is where parents will find the offices of the Head of School and cashier. The school is comprised-of three sections; KG, lower primary and Upper primary and a shared facilities section. KG and year 1 are situated separate from the main building and this building has 8 classrooms. Year 2 to Year 6 are situated in the main building, this section has 11 classrooms, one staffroom and an area for gathering for the morning line up and assemblies. The shared facilities consist of an ICT suite, one science lab, Art room, library, large gymnasium and cafeteria. Outside students have a large play areas and an artificial football pitch.
